Palliative Care at Home —Comfort, Dignityand Family Support.
When curative treatment is no longer the goal, the focus shifts entirely to what matters most — comfort, dignity and the quality of the time that remains. GEG Care's palliative care service supports individuals and their families through one of life's most profound journeys.
We believe that being at home — in familiar surroundings, with the people you love — is where most people want to spend this time. Our role is to make that possible, with professional care that is always guided by the individual's own wishes.
We understand this is a deeply sensitive time. Our team will listen with care and without pressure.

Our Guiding Belief
Home Is Where Life's Final Chapter Should Be Written.
Most people — when asked — say that they want to spend the end of their life at home. Research consistently reflects this. Yet for many families, the practical and emotional challenges of making that possible can feel overwhelming.
GEG Care exists to remove those barriers. We provide the professional care, clinical oversight and compassionate human presence that allow people to remain at home — comfortable, dignified and surrounded by the people who love them.
Our palliative care service does not have a script. It follows the individual — their wishes, their values, their pace. We are there when we are needed, in the way that is needed, for as long as we are needed.
Full Clinical & Compassionate Support
What Our Palliative Care Service Includes
Our palliative care service provides everything a person needs to be comfortable, well-supported and cared for with dignity at home — including clinical support that works in close partnership with NHS and hospice teams.
Every aspect of a palliative care package is shaped around the individual and their family. Nothing is imposed. Everything is guided by the person's own wishes, their advance care plan and the values and beliefs that matter most to them.
How We Work
Our Approach to Palliative Care
Four principles guide every palliative care visit GEG Care delivers. They are not policies — they are the human values on which this service is built.
Comfort First
Every decision — from the timing of a visit to the position of a pillow — is guided solely by the individual's comfort, dignity and expressed wishes. Nothing is ever imposed.
Clinical Partnership
We work in close partnership with NHS palliative teams, community nurses, hospice staff and Marie Curie to ensure clinical care is seamless, coordinated and of the highest quality.
Family Centred
We support not just the individual but their entire family — with honest, regular communication, emotional support and practical guidance through every stage of the journey.
Complete Dignity
Every person, at every stage of life, is treated with the same absolute respect and gentleness. Dignity is not a standard — it is a promise that GEG Care keeps without exception.
Joined-Up Care
We Work Alongside NHS Teams, Hospices and District Nurses
GEG Care's palliative care service does not exist in isolation. We operate as an integral part of the wider clinical team around your loved one — working directly alongside GPs, district nurses, community palliative care specialists, hospice at home services and Marie Curie nurses.
Our carers are trained to communicate clinical changes clearly and promptly. When something changes — whether that is pain levels, medication needs or breathing — the right professional is informed without delay. Families can have complete confidence that clinical needs will always be met.
We regularly coordinate with:

A Word to Families
We Support the Whole Family — Not Just the Individual
Caring for a loved one at the end of their life is one of the most emotionally demanding experiences a family can go through. GEG Care recognises that. Our support extends beyond the person receiving care — it encompasses the family around them.
Our carers are trained to communicate with families with honesty, sensitivity and gentleness. We give regular updates, answer questions openly and work to ensure that families feel involved, informed and supported — never left wondering.
We can also help families navigate the practical and emotional landscape of the final weeks and months — including signposting to bereavement support, specialist counselling and local hospice services when the time comes.
